AGM
On Monday 1 July we held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at one of our sponsors, The River Garden on Yarmouth Road.
A number of important matters were discussed which will impact the club as we move forward in to the 2024-25 Season. As well as all the formalities of adopting the various club policies, hearing the annual reports there was also news of a club restructure. This time last year we were a two-team adult club with a support structure that was fit for purpose, since the introduction of our Youth sides we've had to expand our volunteer workforce, and our new Club Structure reflects our recent expansion and will enable us to provide a robust management committee for the running of the club.
As well as the restructure, the clubs move to Colney Lane (UEA) was unamiously voted through and we're delighted to report that the Veterans will be joining us meaning that ALL of our teams playing on a Sunday will call Colney Lane their home.

Relocation, Relocation!
Nearly all of our teams will be playing their home fixtures at a new venue for the 24-25 season and, as a club, we couldn't be more excited for what the future holds.
After announcing that our Saturday team will be moving to Thorpe St Andrews Recreation Ground we now have news of where the rest of our teams will be playing as we edge closer towards the start of the new season.
Since the inception of our Youth teams in 2023, we wanted a sole base for the club, and we always had Rackheath in mind for that - preparing our migration to the village for much for the previous season; indeed we held club fundraisers there, had our Youth Christmas Party and were looking forward to being an active part of the community. Unfortunately, at the beginning of May we received news that the Rackheath Parish Council would no longer welcome Youth football at their pavilion, despite previous assurances to the contrary, This has led to nigh on 8 weeks of tireless work from the clubs committee with numerous options explored - and finally we have good news to share.
Our home venue for next season will be the University of East Anglia (UEA) - at Colney Lane. An excellent facility which will be able to host all of our youth teams, as well as housing our Adult Sunday side. We will have access to all of the excellent pitches at Colney Lane, so there will be multiple club home games taking place at the same time - helping to build that real club feel.
We couldn't have got this far without the tireless work of Lisa Hamilton (Youth Secretary) & Ian Haydon (Youth Chair) - but special thanks must also go to our friends at Stoke United FC, especially club chair Rob Ward, who helped broker this move.
We look forward to seeing you all soon, as we look forward to another exciting year.
